Standard Output

The stdout: namespace exposes the result of the most recent mcfstd boolean operation.

It is mainly used after:

  • var:isset
  • var:comp/eq
  • var:comp/gt
  • var:comp/gteq
  • var:comp/lt
  • var:comp/lteq

Functions

Function Returns Purpose
stdout:true bool True when the previous boolean result was true
stdout:false bool True when the previous boolean result was false
stdout:void void No-op callback

Branching with stdout

function var:comp/gteq { k: "coins", v: 50 }

execute if function stdout:true run function shop:buy
execute if function stdout:false run function shop:not_enough_coins

stdout:true and stdout:false read the internal register _std_a in the _reg objective.

Function return values

Comparison functions return true or false internally, so their result can be propagated from wrapper functions:

return run function var:comp/gteq { k: "coins", v: 50 }

For normal branching from a macro call, use stdout:true and stdout:false.

stdout:void

stdout:void is a no-op function that returns 0. It is useful for callback arguments when one side should intentionally do nothing.

function trigger:area/add { k: "enter_only", r: 3, ef: "example:entered", lf: "stdout:void" }

It can also be used anywhere a function resource location is required but no behavior is desired.
