The latest posts from the Linux Kernel Mailing List.

This widget periodically fetches the LKML RSS feed and displays new posts as they appear. Between refreshes, it cycles through posts that were not present in the previous fetch.

Recent feed data is cached in Dashboard widget storage. If no new posts are found during a refresh, the widget shows a quiet no-new-posts state instead of repeating the previous batch.

Configuration

Copy .env.example.ini to .env.ini to customize the widget.

  • refresh_interval: how often the widget fetches new posts, in seconds.
  • feed_url: the RSS feed URL. Defaults to http://lkml.org/rss.php.
  • item_limit: the maximum number of RSS items to keep for comparison and display.
